Professor Ashok Pandey
Professor Pandey, is the Editor of Bioresource Technology
Journal since 2004 and the Deputy Director of CSIR’s
National Institute of Interdisciplinary Science and Technology at Trivandrum,
India as well as heading the Biotechnology R&D. Professor Pandey has strong research interest in the area of Industrial
Biotechnology. He has published more than 300 papers and book chapters. He has
edited an Encyclopedia of Bioresource Technology
(Haworth Press, USA), has written two popular science books and edited 16 books
published by the Springer, Kluwer, Asiatech Inc, IBH & Oxford, Wiley Eastern, Doehring Druck, etc. He has acted
as Guest Editor for the 11 special issues of journals, which include Food Technology and Biotechnology, Journal of Scientific & Industrial
Research, Applied Biochemistry and
Biotechnology, Indian Journal of
Biotechnology, Biochemical
Engineering Journal etc. Professor Pandey is
also an editorial board member of seven international journals and four Indian
journals. He has won several national and international awards, which include
the Honorary Doctorate Degree by Blaise Pascal
University, Clermont-Ferrand, France in 2007 and Thomson Scientific India Laureate
Award in 2006.
