Brief Biography	I was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and recieved my primary and High School education there. I obtained a BE with first class Honours and a PhD from Adelaide University and lectures there for 3 years before coming to James Cook University. I am an active Christian. My wife and I have 3 adult children all of whom received degrees from James Cook University.
